Many cities in Ecuador are decorated with colourful street art. It refers to socially critical
topics, to the history of the country or tells a personal story of the artist. In this blog series,
we present you with the varied artworks that Simon discovered on his travels.

Colourful. More colourful.
Pasted art
On my last trips through Ecuador, I noticed a special street art technique in the cities that
is increasingly found on the walls: street art made of paper. The artists apply their prefabricated
works with paste to the walls of mostly drab streets. Strolling through the city, one
finds a motif on every corner. Some of them are thought-provoking, some delight you with
their colourful design alone, and others make you laugh. The wealth of ideas is enormous
and so every walk becomes like a visit to a great art museum.
Ecuador – Land of Diversity.
I don’t like Ecuador. I love it. Because on my travels I always experience so many beautiful moments that this country captivates me anew every time. The many exciting contrasts, such as youth culture and old traditions, or snow-covered mountains and fine sandy beaches, contribute to my fascination. The best way to get your own impression of this diverse country is to look at the photos in my travel diary.
