We donate every year. On my travels through South America I have seen many beautiful things. But I never closed my eyes to the suffering that one also often encounters. Encountering people who stand up for the weaker have touched and inspired me a lot. That’s why Jipijapa donates 5 francs to a charity in Ecuador for every Boina sold.
This year on my trip I visited the two children in orphanages of GRATEFUL CHILDREN in Ecuador. The Foundation supported them by acquiring »Members’ contributions, through »one-off donations or the proceeds from events organized by them. It was a very emotional time that I was able to experience in both homes, a special thanks to Tobias Röösli who gave me these insights. I can warmly recommend this project and its support.
I made my first donation on behalf of Jipijapa to the association SABER Y CRECER.
This institution promotes education for Indigenous youth who would otherwise be excluded having no access to education for financial or geographical reasons. Through my personal contacts I was able to organize to buy some MacBooks for the students.
Education should be accessible to everyone in this world and in the case of indigenous people, it is even more important that through education and knowledge they can protect their habitat.
